Devastating algal blooms have topped Florida headlines during the past few years. However, algal blooms are not a new problem, and the documented cases of algal blooms are on the rise around the world.
Harmful algal blooms are a growing concern for the public and decision makers. Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Environmental Studies, which manages The Invading Sea, partnered with the U.S. Geological Survey to develop a video series on different algae topics.
