The Florida Wildlife Corridor is a network of interconnected and protected lands that span across the state of Florida.
The Florida Legislature passed the Florida Wildlife Corridor Act of 2021 to formally recognize the contiguous geography of the Corridor. Currently, about 10 million acres of the Corridor’s 18 million acres have been conserved. A new report outlines how Florida can buffer itself against climate change and population pressures by conserving the remaining 8 million acres.
