The Invading Sea was founded in 2018 as a groundbreaking collaboration among Florida newspapers. In March 2023, Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Environmental Studies took over management of the website.

In the first year under CES management, nearly 1,000 news, opinion and multimedia pieces were published on the site about climate change and other environmental issues. Below is a list of pieces published over the course of the year that have the most views, according to Google Analytics:

  1. Florida conservatives can lead on climate
  1. Warming climate increases mosquito risk across US, new study shows
  1. ‘Cone of uncertainty’ graphic to feature more information
  1. New law prepares Floridians for rising sea levels
  1. Climate policy can help Florida’s insurance policies

A special thanks goes to writers who have contributed pieces and our readers. Watch the video below on the most-viewed pieces of the year.
