Video: FAU panel discussion on the Florida Wildlife Corridor

The discussion was hosted by the FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Science for its Frontiers in Science Public Lecture Series

The Florida Wildlife Corridor Act is a rare example of unanimous, bipartisan agreement – it passed by a 115-0 vote in the Florida House and a 40-0 vote in the Florida Senate before being signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2021.

The message sent by that unanimous support was among the topics discussed during a recent panel discussion at Florida Atlantic University. The Invading Sea’s Bella Kubach wrote about the panel, which included discussion of the Florida Wildlife Corridor’s benefits in addressing climate change.

Kubach previously interviewed one of the panelists, state Rep. Lindsay Cross, for a Q&A about the corridor and other topics. A list of 10 facts about the corridor was written by Megan Mascheri of FAU’s Center for Environmental Studies, which manages The Invading Sea and is working with Archbold Biological Station on a report about the corridor.

Now the FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, which hosted the panel discussion as part of its Frontiers in Science Public Lecture Series, has posted the full video of the event online. Click below to watch.
